The Battle for your Soul

I am sure that many of you reading this have some kind of religious background and may be currently involved in some kind of religious organization. First – let me be clear that I am in no way stating that this is not something you should be doing – I really don’t have any interest in what you do or don’t do. Notice that this is contrary to the policy of most religions. Christians “minister” and “spread the word” to convince people to become Christians. Mormons go on a “mission” to convert natives to Mormons. Muslims use slightly different methods – looking for similar results. All religions basically scream the same message: Let’s make everyone the same.

Let’s make everyone the same. Think how much energy and effort has been exerted over the years to reinforce this idea. The battle for your mind and body are but stepping stones to the real prize – which is control over your spirit. As spiritual beings having a human experience, we have a deep set blueprint for diversity of experience. We don’t want to live like everyone else. We strive for uniqueness, and crave the freedom to be who we want to be.  America was founded on this principle of individual freedom, and was designed from the ground up to support people in their quest to do whatever they wanted – as long as it did not harm another or interfere with someone else’s rights. Because of this one idea – we have thrived as a nation and have attracted countless immigrants to our country, hoping to have the same opportunity.

As that opportunity shrinks, and large government agencies and corporations control more and more of what we are able to do, we begin to feel it deep within our spiritual beings. Restriction is now the norm – and freedom is just a memory. More and more people are looking for ways to recapture their personal privacy and freedom, and many cannot understand the apathy exhibited by the majority of people as the process marches forward. I would like to shed a little light on this – and you can just accept what works for you and ignore what doesn’t.

Remember – this is a battle for your spirit. What that really means is up to you. Are they going after our souls? Are they looking to control us physically by breaking us down spiritually? I’m not sure about that one, maybe both, but I am sure that they are working on a 4th dimensional level, astrally, to achieve their goals. So from that level – it is a spiritual battle. Here are a few examples of some of the tools that are being used to conquer your spirit:

1. Religion. One of the oldest tools in the book. There are two main objectives behind all religions. Make everyone the same (and by doing so control them and what they believe to be true), and separate the people from their true god (you can’t get there without going through the church, and the church will decide who or what is your true god). Just think of all of the war and death and pain caused by religion over the last 2000+ years. The whole idea of religion as a way to spirituality is an oxymoron.

2. Negative programming. Our spirit is naturally joyful and loving. We strive for beauty and positive experience. Yet, this is rarely what we see on television or in the movies. We are bombarded with negative news, tv shows about violence and death, movies that exploit violence and gore. From a spiritual standpoint, we are being denied what we naturally crave and being fed negative programming to desensitize us to violence. Newspapers and magazines tend to do likewise, but are somewhat less effective.

3. Technology. The rapid rise of technology has seen a rapid drop in spiritual awareness. As we become more and more dependent on technology for our day to day existence, we rely less and less on the spiritual aspects of our beings. Intuition is downplayed and rarely even noticed. We become more separated from nature and no longer use it as a resource for rejuvenation. Technology, like religion, is used as a means of separation from the higher aspects of the self. Becoming dependent on technology requires giving up control of your privacy. While I am not advocating that we return to the stone age, what I AM suggesting is an awareness of the effects of technology and a limit to its use where practical. We can all do without the microwave and television for starters. Take some time away from it all and commune with nature as a primer for getting in touch with the higher aspects of the self.

4. The Body. The most important mis-information campaign for the mainstream media to get out to the people is that “you are your body.” The message is literally everywhere you turn – from magazines, books and film to television and corporate advertising. We are constantly reminded of its vulnerability to disease, injury and death. We are too fat, or too thin, have teeth that are not straight enough or not white enough, hair that is not shiny enough etc. etc. If you could only just get everything physically perfect,  you would then have everything you deserve… The stronger your belief that you are your body, the farther you will have to go to connect with your true self. Anything that you identify with that is an external idea is an example of this. Society reinforces that you are your job, your income, your reputation, your education, your political affiliations, your relationships and on and on and on and on…. You are none of these things. What these things actually represent, are experiences you are having as an incarnation in this timeline.

Things you can do:

1. Renounce religion in all it’s forms. Become a “spiritual” person – not a “religious” one. Find your own truths regarding spirituality, and do not depend on any outside source for this type of information. There is no intermediary needed to get the information you seek, you were born with a direct connection. If you feel a strong connection to a certain religion or guru or faith, then by all means continue on your path. If there were no religious wars and spiritual differences, then there would be less experiences available for those interested to pursue. So in that sense, it’s all good. But just realize that religion is synonymous with control. Every time.

2. Embrace the idea of having a “spiritual experience.” Yogis, shamans, and mystics of all cultures have gone to great lengths to find spiritual truth. So should you. Do whatever you think is necessary to tap into the true nature of the spirit. CAUTION: This does not come easily. If you were meant to have such an experience, it will happen, either by your will or that of your higher self. Some popular methods include meditation, fasting, drug induced states(LSD, psilocybin, ayuasca etc.) ceremony and ritual, sex (tantra), astral travel and many others. For some, simply being in the right environment at the right time can produce an experience. Others might require years of searching and testing. If you are lucky enough to actually have one, you will understand why so many have tried so hard for so long to get there. It IS worth the effort, and will give you a first hand understanding of what is real, not just a belief in what is real. There is a big difference between the two.

3. Get over the body’s fear! You simply must get over the body oriented fear of death. This ties in with #2 above regarding having a spiritual experience. This is the one huge benefit of having such an experience – you will never fear death again – and thus it will hold no power over you whatsoever. I am not saying that you should go around foolishly risking your life should you have had a spiritual experience. However, in the event that you ever need to actually risk it – you could do it easily and with utmost confidence in the outcome. Your body will protest of course, but your spirit will be strong enough to over-rule it and proceed. The body is here for your experience, and nothing will shorten that experience for you until it is your time to move on. There is no “chance” ending for you in this lifetime. Your higher self has pre-planned your ending here, and it is non-negotiable. Live in confidence, not fear. When it is time to shed this vehicle, you can do so in eager anticipation of your next big adventure!
